What we offer

We look forward to welcoming you throughout the day, for food that promises that ‘something a little bit different’ and an offer that is extended beyond Afternoon Tea.

GOOD MORNING

Served until Midday - or until they are gone!

CINNAMON SWIRL

£4.25

We love cinnamon buns, but they were always too small and never had enough icing. So, we started making our own and made them a little bit bigger, crammed with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar, and the smell got everyone asking if they were ready yet.  That’s where the warm icing comes in as they wouldn’t let them cool down.  The result being homemade, warm, iced cinnamon swirls and we are delighted to share this family favourite with you today.

BREAKFAST CRANACHAN

£4.95

Hailing from Scotland, Cranachan is known as the undisputed King of Scottish desserts, so why is it on our breakfast menu?  Sweet raspberries, natural yoghurt, toasted Scottish oats and drizzles of honey.  See, swapping out whipped cream for yoghurt turns the King of desserts in to the King of breakfasts.

Afternoon Tea

We love afternoon teas, and they are really special to us. It’s a way we celebrate as a family and a way we love to share time with our friends.

OUR SCONES

Baked fresh every morning.

All our plain, fruit and cheese scones are made and baked fresh every day by Krishna or Steve.

Steph’s first taste of a cheese scone was when she opened the restaurant at Wedgwood visitor center in Stoke-on-Trent.  It was made by a lady called Betty, whose recipe, including a secret ingredient, was shared with Steph over 20 years ago. We can’t give you the recipe, but we can let you taste the result.

CHEESE SCONE

CREAM TEA

£6.50

A plain or fruit scone with butter, strawberry jam and clotted cream, served with a tea or coffee of your choice.

Cream tea has been served in the UK since the 11th century and arguments surrounding the order of spreading the scone’s traditional toppings have ruminated ever since.  While those in Devon typically spread the clotted cream first followed by jam, the Cornish tradition is to spread jam first, then cream.
